Andrewsarchus
Bristlemanes are huge, slavering carnivores that run in packs. They are larger and stronger than the People of the Named, and extremely savage, but aren't very bright.
They're known to be able to raids the herds of the Named. In Clan Ground a pack of them attack the Named but they're repelled.
Real Life[]
Bristlemanes are based of huge scavenging and hunting creatures called Andrewsarchuses, which are probably the largest land-dwelling carnivorous mammal ever. Amazingly, Andrewsarchuses are more closely related to sheep than wolves.
